REDNECK RAMPAGE MAKEMAP TUTORIAL #6- TRUE ROOMS OVER ROOMS
by Matt Newcomb.
==========================================================
THIS TUTORIAL TELLS HOW TO MAKE ROOMS OVER ROOMS THE RIGHT
WAY, AS THEY APPEAR IN THE GAME.
==========================================================
First, make a sector. Now insert two points on a wall and
draw a hall-like sector (this will be used to access the
other sector). When you draw the hall sector, you will
notice that the last connection point will trace over a
white line (the line between the two points you made).
When you connect the last point the line will turn red.
This will allow you to exit the sector, but will also
allow you to view both rooms without either one being
screwed up (I tried making them before by drawing
two sectors that overlapped. When I went into 3D
mode, the walls of one would disappear when the other
appeared).
Now attach the room you want to be over/under the first
room, using the same procedure for making the hall, but
draw this one over any part of the first room.
I don't know how many levels you can put in a sector.
These sectors will behave just like regular sectors,
so don't be afraid to adjust them.
