Copying Sectors Between Two Maps

First load the map in Mapedit that you want to copy sector(s) from and zoom out to the necessary view you need to see all of the sector(s) on the board.

High light the sector using the right alt key and mouse, release the right alt key after selecting the desired area(s). The area will blink with green lines.

With the cursor on the green area, press the insert key once (don’t hold down key)

Press the escape key once, then "L" key. Load the desired map you want to copy the new area to.

Zoom the view way out and you should see the high lighted area on the new board somewhere. It may overlap part of an existing area because it will first put it in the exact spot on the old board that it came from.

Now you can rotate the high lighted area if you need to by using the "< "or ">" keys. Then right mouse click and hold on the high lighted area and drag it to where you want it.

Press the insert key once and it will be stamped there, then press the right alt key once and the high lighted green lines will disappear. The new area should now be added to the map.

All that is needed now is to match the height and connect the sectors together or add a teleport or a water area to connect the sectors (this would be a cool idea to mix two maps that are complete and go back and forth from each one in the same game level)

Good Luck, Nailer
