Feel free to send me e-mail for whatever reason you may have, including:
-Need some News posted on the main News and History page?
-Have a suggestion for a Web Site Link or Forum Link?
-Want Your FAQ featured in the Online Documents?
-Perhaps you want your FAQ placed in the Online Library?
-Need a file found, file errors, want a file added?
-Or something else...
| A way to help out is to see if you have these old files on your drives. Please send them to me if you have them
so I may post them.
Doc/FAQ:
- Duke Espana - Looking for any Articles, Guides and Manuals
from the old Spanish web site [closed in 2019]. (I'm looking for the EDuke v2.1.1
FAQs that they produced). Seems the Wayback Machine archived pages
are not there anymore for some reason...

| Another way to help out is to see if you have these old [Most
from 1996-1997] files on your drives. Please send them to me if you have them
so I may post them.
CON Files:
- plant.zip - 26,680 bytes - Creates a new monster!
- beastbx.zip - 348,626 bytes - Con files, that create new trooper
behavior, based on thier palette. Machine gunner, Grenade thrower,
and death backlash trooper. All in a test map included. Also other
small FX, listed in Con file, included.
- morter.zip - 27,244 bytes
- eetfuk.zip - 352,672 bytes
- MAG_HAND.ZIP - 1.4MB - It changes the Shrinker/Expander to
Duke's hand, that has random effects on enemies. Turn them into
everything from a Rubbermaid trashcan to a Pigcop. Since Duke
isn't the BEST magician, his skills can result in positive, or
negative effects. But, pick up some magic stones and increase
his skills!
TCs
- colldemo.zip(4.11MB) and ccdemo2.zip - Collision Course 4
level demo. It was a TC made back in the late 90's early 2000.
- zvdemo.zip - Zilla's Vengeance. A shadow Warrior tc demo.
Most likely a one map archive from the late 90's.
- Sex Warrior. A shadow Warrior tc demo. Most likely a one map
archive from the late 90's.
Doc/FAQ:
- smmdox10.zip - A build tutorial, put together by Shawn McCool, with
demo maps on how to do the most useful things in BUILD.
- bettrsub.zip - 70,593 bytes - Mr. Ed offers a time-saving trick to
place the locator sprites that guide the subway in the exact middle
of the track. Includes "tutorial" GIFs and a sample map.
-
Tyler Matthews' tutorial series, in
HTML. - older BUILD Faqs from 7-20-96. Note: I do have Ty's HLP
Windows format (and a html conversion from it) in the downloads. However I'm
looking for the original last updated web site html files
(before v1.4). (tutorial.zip (Approx
1,114k)). His site is not archived in the Wayback
Machine.
Ty had posted to the 'Duke Nukem Usenet' forum back in the timeframe of perhaps 1996, that
post should be archived somewhere. Many of his pages(seems
not all) have
been included on a CD called 'Toolkit for Duke 3D' from Walnut
Creek in Oct'96. It appears his FAQs on a CD called 'PDSL GAMERS
TOOLKIT' from 1998, seems to be the same as the Walnut Creek
Toolkit, so no difference. Here is a listing of the
PDSL CD
contents: http://cd.textfiles.com/pdsl/HELP/GAMERTK.TXT They are
under \duke\tutorial\tyler\

Duke Nukem CON Hacking FAQs by Jeff Armstrong, from
1997. The site was known as 'Hacker's Guide to Duke Nukem 3D'.
The site consisted of several html pages worth of CON info. Novice to
Advanced and was work in progress when his site closed. I do
however, have hard copies and pdfs from those copies in the
download section. I just don't have the original computer files. The Wayback Machine doesn't have his pages archived.
-
A Redneck Rampage CON FAQ - from unknown author. Probably from
1997. It was "tucked away" in a archive of RR maps, faqs, or add-ons. I
tried to relocate it but can't find it. Unfortunately I
misplaced it back then, maybe even deleted it (its not anywhere
in my backups). It was work in progress
and I only remember one file ever having it available (as I went
through every RR file I had, manually, I might have even done a
mass internal zip search as well for keywords). Before all that,
I did transfer the information in raw form to the RTCM CON FAQs
back then.
Tools:
- DukeEdit.zip -
Duke Nukem 3D Editor v1.0 (and v1.1) - jaarroge - Allows you to customize the
way you play Duke Nukem 3D. In other words, it lets you cheat in
single player. Many
functions are provided that allow you to give yourself more
strength, ammo, and/or health. In addition, a wide range of other
factors in the game can be changed according to your whim. Note:
This is most likely a user.con editor, no big deal.
- 3D_Min.zip 755kb 3/7/98 - Its a duke frontend launcher.
- shadoworb.zip - Birdman's SpaceOrb 360 controller driver for SW 1.2 - An old
controller device by Spacetec, that doesn't work on new systems.
BTW Spaceware CD v4.81 Supports these BUILD Games: Blood, Duke
Nukem 3D, Redneck Rampage and Shadow Warrior. Maybe there is a
open source modern driver for it, I don't need the modern one, I
need Birdman's SW 1.2 Driver. Apparently It might have been a
hack of the Duke3D Driver. Later There was a proper driver
designed for SW 1.2 and SW 3Dfx by Birdman.
- DDF100.ZIP - June 11, 1996 - The Head-to-Head Gaming
Network/Simply Silly Software (I presume this was authored by
Joseph Wilcox). DDF stands for Duke Distribution
File. It's a proposed new way to distribute duke maps. Because
of how DUKE is designed (the .ART files in particular) it's
pretty damn tedious to include graphics with your maps. DDF
solves all of this. It Allows you to package maps and graphics
together without packaging the large registered .ART. This utility is a MUST for every duke editor. The file
was on a ftp server, so the Wayback Machine didn't grab it.
Source Code:
- Group File Studio v3.1 SRC - Gary and Jonah Bishop. Looking
for the source code for this great program.
However the src was never posted on their site back then.
- Source Code - for any tool or program on the site that I
don't have.
